  2. The average unemployment rate for the United States through the first 6 months of 2018 has been 4.0 percent.
  3. The Minnesota unemployment rate for June 2018 was 3.1 percent.
  4. The average unemployment rate for Minnesota through the first 6 months of 2018 has been 3.2 percent.

Thus, the Minnesota unemployment rate has been performing consistently well below the national mark for 2018. Moreover, the long term trend demonstrates that the unemployment rate in Minnesota will be lower than average for the relatively near future.
