- Americans of Asian descent (Asian) had the lowest unemployment rate in May of 2018. And although the Asian unemployment rate decreased by 52.4 percent between May and June of 2018, the Asian unemployment rate was still the lowest among all groups.
- Americans of European descent (White) had the second lowest unemployment rate in May and June of 2018. However, there was no change in white unemployment between May and June of 2018.
- While Asian and White unemployment was lower than the national average of 3.8 percent in May of 2018 and 4.0 percent in June of 2018, Hispanic/Latino and Black/African American unemployment was above and well above the national average of May and June of 2018, respectfully.
